The octagonal Studio on Adirondack Star Ridge is great for couples, solo adventurers & others. It boasts 360 degree views of mountains and forest. Your private space includes a kitchenette with dishes & utensils, coffee maker, tea kettle, sink, full size fridge and microwave, but NO stove. There is a high quality, new full-size futon bed, lounge space and two decks. An upscale outhouse (fully tiled with heat & light) and an awesome outside shower are available with cleanup sink. The Space

Studio on Adirondack Star Ridge offers a unique opportunity to combine comfort and the great outdoors within a solid structure. The 600 sq.' space is tastefully decorated and boasts amazing views from the interior and exterior. The additional screen door and multiple screened windows, on every side of the structure, make experiencing the outdoors possible in comfort. The patter of rain on the steel roof, birds singing and the sounds and smells of the night forest are all waiting for guests to enjoy. The essentials for an upscale rustic retreat and more are available. It is a place where lifetime memories can be created. 

 

Wireless WiFi access with decent streaming speed included within and near the Studio space as well as Ridge top will allow digital nomads to work productively amongst one of the most amazing panoramic mountain views you can imagine.
 

You will enjoy access to not only your own private area, but also an outside grill and larger deck with screen room occasionally shared with the owners or other guests.

 

 

The Area

Come explore this gorgeous 30 acre property with 180* views of the High Peaks, Whiteface Mt. and the Jay Range. Experience the tranquility of nature and soak up its sounds, smells and sights like a star-riddled night sky, the roaring bonfire on the ridge (conditions permitting), quiet walks in the surrounding thousands of acres of timber and as little or much activity as you like in this athletic area of the Adirondack Park.

The town of Au Sable Forks is only 5 miles away and Lake Placid is within 30 minutes. Whiteface Mountain (a 4 season venue) can be reached within 15 minutes. We are 90 miles from Montreal (1.5 hours + border time) and about the same time away from Burlington, Vermont (across Lake Champlain by ferry or bridge).

Interaction with Guests

 

We are available to aid you during your stay. We will answer your questions about the area, local activities, events and more! We wish to share our knowledge of the area after living here full time since '03. But we also will respect your privacy and need for peace and quiet!  We welcome our guests to share in the Blessings of being on Star Ridge's precious location and the Studio space. Creator's touch can be seen and felt, sun up to sun down. Come be one with nature and be reminded of the peace that resides within. Noteworthy

​

The Studio does NOT offer an ensuite bathroom. There is an amazing, quite unique and very clean outhouse (fully tiled with heat and electric!), an adjacent wash-up sink and awesome outside shower with the best view in the Adirondacks while under a shower head!  All are just 25 steps away from the side door.
